CleanX is built so that what you see online stays on your device. This policy explains the small amount of data we do handle.

What the extension does locally

All filtering happens inside your browser. CleanX reads the pages of x.com and twitter.com only to decide what to blur or hide, and never sends the content you see, your browsing history, or your X account details anywhere. Your settings and trusted accounts are stored in your browser’s extension storage.

What we store on our servers

• An anonymous, randomly generated install ID, created when you install the extension.
• When that install started its trial, when it last checked its plan, and the extension version.
• If you buy Pro: the purchase record from our payment provider (plan, status, renewal date, license key, customer ID and the email you gave at checkout), linked to the install IDs where you activated it.

We use this only to provide your plan. We do not sell data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking cookies.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Card details go directly to Dodo Payments and are never seen or stored by CleanX. Dodo Payments’ own privacy policy applies to the checkout.

Retention and deletion

Install records with no purchase are deleted after 12 months of inactivity. To delete your data sooner, email support@cleanx.lol with your license key or the email used at checkout. We keep purchase records as long as required for tax and accounting.
